Short loop trail (yellow trail) in part of the Hermon Stream (Banias) Nature Reserve.
From the parking lot you could also explore the Temple of Pan and the tomb of Nebi Khader or marvel at the view from the Banias Lookout. From here there would also be a path to the Nimrod Fortress (approx. 4.5 km incl. ascent!).
The path first leads along the pools of Banias Springs and then partly in the shade to an old mill. Following the yellow trail one walks under Road 99 after a few minutes and arrives at Wadi Safar or an ancient gate of the Mamelukes.
A short climb then leads back to the car park.
A large picnic area with many tables and benches as well as toilets, waste bins and pet collections are available near the parking lot.
Since it is a nature reserve, there is an entrance fee. If you then visit the Banias Waterfalls, keep your ticket.
It is possible to follow the purple path that goes through the Palace of Agrippina. The blue trail connects Banias Pools to Banias Falls in about 90 minutes (a second car is highly recommended in this case).
