Itinerary description
This fairly easy loop goes from Tzermiadon (starts at the limit of the village in direction of Irakleio) to Karfi, a former Minoan settlement. During this trail you can enjoy a nice view over the Lasithi plateau, with the Dikti mountains behind, as well as a panoramic view of the coastline. You will also encounter windmills ruins, which are a characteristic of Lasithi plateau, which was covered in windmills until quite recently.
Regarding the difficulty, it is made of a quite easy climb, which turns significantly steeper for the last few minutes of the ascent to Karfi. he view from up there is a worthy reward for this small effort. Profile is quite the same for all the way down.
