Itinerary description
As this multi day trekking takes place in very remote areas, with no phone coverage, and with the possibility of not meeting anyone for days, to avoid problems and to warn those who download this gps tracks, I decided to classify each track as VERY DIFFICULT although in reality every single day is indeed different, and specifically there may be stretches which can be considered moderate.
DAY ONE ON LONSORAEFI TRAIL.
FROM EYABAKKAR TO GELDINGAFELL HUT.
WE REACHED THE STARTING POINT WITH A JEEP, ALONG A DIRTY ROAD.
15,7KM. 461MT UPHILL. 379MT DOWNHILL.
FULL PACKED BACKPACK (22KILOS).
FIRST PART ON MARSH BUT NOT DIFFICULT.
THEN BECOMES MORE CHALLENGING FOR ANKLES (DUE TO WALKING ON CRUSHED STONES).
PAY ATTENTION TO THE FINAL RIVER CROSSING (Blanda River) JUST BEFORE REACHING THE HUT: WE CROSSED IT AT ABOUT 750 MT ALTITUDE (the official trail crossing is down into the valley, maybe easier: there's no marked trail but you can find an "official" trail on the GPS Map from ONOURFOOTPRINTS.DE or in MAL OG MENNING SERKORT N.6 Map).
VERY GOOD HUT, SMALL BUT WELL FURNISHED.
