Itinerary description
Kedong Ranch House is an accomodation located close to Naivasha lake, on the West of Nairobi.
In this track we started in the main entrance of Longonot National Park (pic.1). We climbed to the top of the mountain and then we surrounded the crater walking by the right (pics.2,3,4&5). We went down on our foot.
The way is steep and unpaved.

Incredible landscape, amazing hike.
Make sure you do indeed the round on the top and not only going up and down. For this you shouldn't be too late at the gate to start.
When doing the round it is best to go first to the summit (turn right) and then continue the route around the crater. Views are better this way.
Good shoes are a must here.
Keep in mind you cannot bring plastic bottles with you in the park. Not always they check but if they do you might need to buy a bottle there. Make sure to bargain in this case.
