Itinerary description
We did a point to point today so needed 2 vehicles.
We started at the car park off Canopus cct and took the Long Point track to the Coimadai track and then onto the Coimadai creek track, this follows the Pyrites creek to the Happy Valley track which we then followed all the way to the end of the trail, then a short drive back to our first vehicle.
You can walk adjacent to Long Forest road ( walking track beside the road ) back to Canopus car park if you wish.
The car park off Canopus cct has limited parking but the car park at the Happy Valley end has a lot more parking space.
This is a nice area with quite a few walks through some very attractive bush. The trails are well marked and used and is close to Bacchus Marsh.
