Itinerary description
Moderate trail with rocks and roots the whole way to the lake. Clockwise is the way to go. The descent on Cascade Brook would be brutal. At about 2 miles, the bridge is out crossing the brook. The water was running and the rocks were slippery. Plan to get wet.
On the way down it began to rain and the trail was slippery and muddy. Despite the ford, slippery rocks and mud, the trail is definitely worth doing.
