Itinerary description

The first part you walk beneath the cliffs. In the beginning you can still choose to walk along the shoreline or on a more comfortable path a few meters inland. However when you reach the steep cliffs you don't have the second option anymore. I'm not 100% sure whether this walk is feasible when it's high tide, but I think it will be possible. You can check the tides on e.g. https://nl.tideschart.com/Germany/Mecklenburg--Vorpommern/Sassnitz/Weekly . There's always a risk for falling rocks and even trees. Therefore you should also avoid rainy or windy days. Anyway, don't forget to enjoy this beautiful walk ! Half way you leave the shore and climb to the official path above the cliffs. On your return way you walk along the Königsstuhl : a famous viewpoint and platform which you can't visit without paying the entrance fee for the visitors centre of the National Park (± 10 EUR).
