Itinerary description
Awesome route up Barney! Much more climbing on this one than South, SE, Mezzanine or North Ridge.
There are a couple of tricky sections, generally involving climbing up awkward corners. One of these sections involves climbing a crack for 4m with some exposure below. If you know how to foot jam, this climb isn't a problem, but if you've never crack climbed before, this section could be challenging.
The tricky sections on this route are harder than anything on South, SE, Beerwah or Tibro.
We came down North Ridge, which was a fun way to get down, although navigationally tricky. Lots of slab walking too, so sticky approach shoes are a good idea.
