Itinerary description
Logamasino Canyon
This is a moderate hike near Reno, Nevada. Some may consider this to be difficult because the trail is hard to follow and there are a lot of rocks and uneven surfaces. Pretty much you are hiking up, alongside, or across a creek. There is points of historical interest along the trail. Evidence of historic and prehistoric use. Also, for those geologically inclined there ate columnar basalts to view.summer is the best time to do this trail on winner there will probably be I've and in the spring the creek will be moving water. Also, a warning there will probably be dead feral 'wild' horses. These are the descendants of animals that were turned loose on the range several years ago and now there is a breeding population. However beautiful they may be they aren't native to the area and have high mortality rates unless people intervene. When I did this hike coined at least 7 dead horses.
