Beautiful route through the Lofoten Islands National Park (Norway) that links the Selfjorden fjord with the famous Whale Beach (Kvalvika) crossing the Torsfjordtinden mountain with incredible views of the glaciers and, at the end, to the mentioned beach, to the one that can be lowered by narrow paths. It is an easy route that is only complicated by the abundant mud in many sections of the route and by the many rocks that have to be crossed, in other sections, with the possibility of tripping and slipping. In some places there are wooden boards that help the crossing. We must be careful. I have pointed out the most interesting points on the track but the whole route is spectacular.
At the beginning of the route, on highway 7708, there is a parking lot for about ten vehicles. The path begins in front of the car park and is signposted for most of the way. At first it climbs through forests of dwarf birch trees and rowan trees, then it flattens between glaciers, climbs again between rocks and at the end it goes down to the beach. The return is made through the same site.
