Itinerary description
Snowden summit Llanferres Circular route. Prolonged climb on wide well marked shale path‘s that goes up for about 800 m and then there is a queue to touch the stone at the top followed by a slow gentle path back chosen to be kind on the knees. You could cut off a kilometre without going through the town. Suggest you don’t park by the station as it’s £8. It’s worth checking the weather beforehand and time in the walk because you don’t want to end up in the cloud after all that uphill walking. It’s a long climb up and a long walk down but it’s not difficult
