Itinerary description
Medium difficult hiking trail in the hills that goes by marked hiking route. The path start at the Lake Ljeskova voda (225 m) and goes through the village of Crni potok (241m) where no one lives (since 2011.) and where there is a Church of Mala Gospa (built 1937.) and several houses in ruins. The path further goes to trigonometry pyramid "Čardak" (421 m), from where we descend to Lake Ljeskova voda.
Lake Ljeskove vode, about twenty kilometers away from Slavonski Brod, is located in the municipality of Bukovlje, 2 km north of the village of Korduševci. The hazel waters are bordered by three hills, and in the valley there are two streams flowing from the caves of Jovičinka and Točak. There are eight springs in the Ljeskove vode area, and the water that springs from them is clean and clear because there are no pollutants nearby. The artificial lake, with a dam 10 m high, is surrounded on all sides by dense forest, oak, beech, hornbeam and pine. In addition to swimming, the lake is also used for fishing during the year, while the grassy terrain along the lake is an ideal place for sports activities. Near the lake is also one of the highest peaks of hill Dilj gora with a geodetic pole called Čardak, and the nearby forests are rich in various game species. While walking on forest trails is a favorite during the summer, spring and fall months, it is recommend skiing and sledding in the winter.

The trail lead you through the wooded hills with beautiful nature. It is perfect for the whole family in all seasons, as well as for cyclists and if you run a dog. This route is close to Slavonski Brod and is easily accessible.

Congratulations to Goran for describing this trail in detail and giving out information. That was helpful.
However, we tried to hike it in mid-June 2022 and the conditions on the trail were completely different from those that were described. Soon after entering the forest near Ljeskove vode, the vegetation became so overgrown that it reached almost to our necks, and made the trail and markings completely invisible at times. We got scratched by thorns, stung by nettles and bees. It was definitely not family friendly, and borderline impassable in some places. We only found our way due to having the GPS. Otherwise we would've gotten lost.
In the conditions we experienced it, we wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
I'm sorry you didn't manage to experience the way it was when I went. There were a lot of deforestation in the whole region, so in those places the terrain was taken over by dense bushes and tall grass.
