Itinerary description
Very easy, beautiful family walking trail
Must Visit: ‘Livadi tou Pashia’ Picnic Site
Once the highly anticipated mid-August holidays arrive in Cyprus, countless city dwellers make a beeline for the island’s glistening coastline, but some choose an alternative getaway, in search of cooler temperatures and a slice of solitude on the island’s rugged peaks. If you fall into the latter category, ‘Livadi tou Pashia’ (Pashias Valley) is simply begging for a place on your holiday bucket list!
Just east of Troodos square rising 1600 metres above sea level, the gorgeous picnic site is visible shortly after you being your descent towards Amiandos. Spreading across a large expanse in this gorgeous part of the Troodos National Park, it actually claims pride of place as the largest picnic site on the island.
Take a walk around the area and you’ll no doubt be lost for words the moment you catch a glimpse of the peat meadow filled with a variety of shrubs and pine trees reaching up to touch the skies.
At the centre of the picnic site, young ones can enjoy fun and games in the playground, while there are plenty of picnic tables under dense pine trees to enjoy a nibble in the shade, with specially designed spaces for lighting a barbeque.

The beautiful landscape. Nice view. In the summer also you could go, the road leads half part in shadow. Strong smell of pine trees.
There is a picnic zone.
