Itinerary description

Sadly I recorded this trail a little bit lait, so add maybe 1 to 1.5km more to this trail.
This trail will guide you through some nice tea plantation and you will arrive at the Lipton’s Seat (the first plantation of the well-known Lipton family as far as I know). You will see some tea factories and some tea villages.
This trail will mostly be on road-like trails, so don’t expect some hard work.
Sadly I only visited this place when it was very foggy but I really liked the view and I heard when you are on top you will have a great view either. But even when it’s foggy/rainy you will have a nice journey.
At the End you have the possibility to visit the Dambatenne Tea Factory, it was really interesting but a bit short, but I would totally recommend it. After this you just take the bus to Haputale and then you can easily catch the train or bus back to Ella or Nuwara Eliya.
The starting point of this tour will be Bandarawela, I would recommend to take a TukTuk to get to the first real starting point of this trail. Just say you want to the Nayabedde Estate sign and be clear that you don’t want a complete ride to the top, this should cost about 350-500 LKR. Then just head to the Nayabedde Tea Factory and you can just walk through the gate and heading to the right.
You also can go to the Sirasa TV Station, just look at the three radio towers.
