If you want to enjoy incredible views of Cape Town, this is the perfect route. The climb can be expensive if you are not in shape or if you have a cold, as was the case with me.
I found a lot of people going up in beach clothes with sandals or flip flops. It is not recommended at all to wear this type of footwear. Many tourists do not realize the difficulty of the route and end up blocking the path of others. Better to go early to avoid meeting with many people. Spectacular views on both sides.
Up on the peak there are many Dassies, I was lucky enough to photograph one, they are very skittish and hide in their burrows.
