Itinerary description
Linville falls is part of the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's a spectacular three tiered waterfall. I started at the parking lot off of hwy 105, right above the visitor center where you can find a map of the trails. This spot is great for light hiking you can do in about 4 hrs. You get to see the waterfall from 3 different angles. My favorite was the plunge Basin, your not suppose to swim in the water but you dip your feet in the 30 degree F° water. Linville falls has a camping and picnic area, very recommended for visitors along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Tons of vegetation and fauna, beautiful mushrooms along the trails, you can pickup up to a gallon a day, wish I knew which kind is edible. Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think!
