Itinerary description

Lijiang old town is a Unesco World Heritage site and Back Dragon Pool park part of it for being the water reservoir that is so important for the fabric of this town. But it is much more than that with precious views over the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain framed by impressive pavillions and bridges sitting in the middle of the lake. To cross Lijang early morning is probably the best time as you escape the hords of tourists that make of this magical place a disneyland... There is no perfect tour inside the city, but in doubt follow a canal as you will always have picturesque sights around even if it may lead you to a dead end. To reach the Black Dragon Pool Park just follow the river from teh water wheels up to the park entrance. Wish you luck to have blue skyes and a gorgeous view over the mountain.
