Itinerary description

Liepnitzsee is a German lake located in the municipalities of Wandlitz and Bernau bei Berlin, Brandenburg. At an elevation of 49.7 m, its surface area is 1.17 km². This is a lovely little hike, going all the way around the lake, leading you along very well established trails which are easy to follow. We live in Bernau bei Berlin, so we took the 894 bus and went off in Wandlitz. The trek starts at the bus stop, since we started walking there. Once we reached the lake, we made a full circle around it, and went back a slightly different way, since the bus stop for Bernau wasn't at the same spot as the one where we went off the bus. The trail can be made a circular one if you have a car and leave it near or at the lake. It's an easy and beautiful hike.
