Itinerary description
They drained the Lexington Reservoir to make repairs to the dam. It was a great opportunity to search for Alma and Lexington, towns buried under the lake.

the Lake is much lower than shown on the map, estimated 7% full due to construction on the damn and a wildlife issue. I was searching for Lexington and Alma, two towns buried by the waters almost 100 years ago. I did find pieces to what I think are both towns. The lake bed is inherently dangerous.. its a desert, bring lots of water and the footing is treacherous.
just a note, the lakebed part of this hike is no longer possible.. the water level has been restored
