Itinerary description
Spectacular day trip up the Lewis Tops track. The purpose of the trip was to get a glimpse of the peaks 'The Apprentice', 'Lucretia', & 'Mt Technical' and assess the feasibility to complete these in a day. On conclusion, would definitely need two days up my sleeve to fit the summits in given the conditions.
In terms of the Tops track, the initial climb from the side of the road was a fair bit easier compared to Mt Barrosa and the temperature was nice and cool under the trees. Managed to get to the top of Lewis Topps summit within 58mins (guide was 1.5hrs/2hrs) so fairly straightforward.
Deviated a little off the track at the end of my hike and had to do some serious bush whacking to get back on the trail......
