Itinerary description
I stayed the night at Levski Hut and was out the door by 6am to attempt a summit of Botev Peak. Sadly, the snow was still to much (end of April) so I turned around at about 2,000 meters. Next time I will bring waterproof boots!
Wonderful hike, all around. The views of the surrounding mountains were fantastic.
The hike back to Karlovo is fairly easy with a gentle grade for most of it (except the steep sections from 2,000 meters back to Levski Hut)
