Itinerary description

Bus number 29 from Funchal to Curral Romeiros (bus stop D2). Then walk in the same direction as the bus continues but the road below it, after that you will see stairs and signs to the Levada.

Follow the Levada and then go up the stairs where you see a sign "Camacha to Monte". Then follow our route to come to Camacha Shopping Center where the bus back to Funchal goes.

Easy flat relaxing stroll. I suggest Camacha to Monte. Take bus 77 85. 110 or 129 from Funchal terminus and get off at first Camacha stop walk back uphill for 500m follow Levada signs. All easy to follow except at Choupana where you drop down pebbled track over road and down by football stadium to bus stop the follow Sap and resort signs and small footpath to get back on track. Loads of busses from Monte
