Did this low level walk today because it was snowing up high . Took the number 3 bus from Funchal Savoy to its terminas and the walked North alongside the rock crushers and took a long set of steps to the Levada. From here there is a choice Left = out and back with lots of challenge/ Right = 200 mtrs of challenge then easy route. By challenge I mean narrow concrete walkway, handrail, dropoff and short tunnels. After the challenge finally arrived at the road across the motorway. The main thing to remember is “follow the yellow arrow” someone has thoughtfully painted an arrow at most significant turns. Enroute stop at the local bar for gourmet coffee or the tulip farm. 3 hour walk back to Savoy bus stop mainly flat
