Itinerary description

The hike is beautiful and offers the opportunity to cross the Vjosa river valley into the Zagori valley on an ancient animal road that is often used by locals and shepherds. Because of its remote location, the Albanian part of the Zagori valley is unknown to most visitors, although it offers beautiful natural surroundings. The route begins from the Church in the village of Leusë and continues directly into the Dhembel mountains. The path continues into a forest with exquisite views of the Vjosa river valley and the "Bredhi i Hotovës Dangëlli" National Park. We continue straight with the Gorge of Mount Dhembel to the west and the Nëmërçkë mountains to the east. The trail offers views of the Lunxhëri mountains and shepherds’ meadows. The trip ends in the village of Sheper where there are overnight accommodations offered in local guest houses.
