Itinerary description
´To go´brekky prepared the night before for a few so not sure how good breakfast is.
Straight forward track with a few coffee stops, on/off and urban/bush tracks.
TRACK
Left at 7am without eating, at quick pace with Rino and arrived into Santiago at 11.30am, with just a quick stop for coffee. Don Pepe opens early (5am) for brekky options and other places were also open at least from 7am.
Small deli and a coffee shop just before Santuario da Virxe da Escravitude, around 6km.
At around 8km, A Picaraña, where the warehouses are, have at the end a new bollard to turn left. After nice bush trail (around 9km), there are 2 coffees on either side of street.
At 14.5km bush trail again.
After the hill and the Magdalena little church (on the right), O Milladoiro suburb (apartments and shopping) at 18km, with Cafetaria Casa da Cultura on the left side.
After Shopping Milladoiro, DON´T TURN RIGHT as per bollard. The original track goes left to Rúa do Esquilo. Continue on this road, pass by the power towers and after crossing the bridge turn right. At the end, turn left to Rúa do Beado and you are now back on the track, as per the book. This way, we will avoid walking on a busy road and under the freeway, which is a bit uncomfortable and ugly.
View of cathedral at 19km and again a bit later on.
When it comes to the 2 bollards, choose the left one to Santa Marta, at 23km. Bush trail at end before final stage.
As arriving into Santiago, continue straight forward and when coming to the end of Parque da Alameda, cross over and continue through Rúa da Porta Faxeira/Rúa Bautizados/Rúa Franco which goes straight into Cathedral (always on the left side).
