Itinerary description
English (castellano debajo):
We parked the car in les Mosses. There are a couple of fairly large car parks. It also coincided that it was market day, but even so, there were many free places, and they are free (option to drive up to a parking loser to the lake up for those who just want to go to the lake).
From there you have to go straight to the lake. At first it can be a bit confusing because there are many paths that take you to the lake and on all the signs you have it indicated both to the left and to the right, so you don't know which one to go. Once on the chosen path, the views are super cool. You will arrive at the parking lot and in half an hour you will be up in the lake. We went around the lake in which there were quite a few people (beware of those who want to swim that the water is frozen); and from there we kept going towards the Chaussy peak. However, we did not do it directly, but we went through the "vers les lacs" route that starts from the restaurant. The difference is about 15 minutes since you take a small detour.
You have to continue climbing to the col and when you think you are already up; no; there are still a few more meters to reach the summit of the peak.
Here you can decide to turn around towards the lake, but we continued to make it a little longer and went towards les Semeleys. The path is not difficult but you go between peaks, so you have to be careful. In fact, the "difficulty" started on the way down. It is not technically difficult, far from it, but there was a lot of vegetation and it was difficult to follow the path because many times you couldn't see it and you didn't know where to put your feet. This whole area has avalanche protection and you will have to avoid all of them to continue down to the road.
There will still be a good path until you get to where road alternates with path, but it will be almost all flat and downhill and easy to follow. At the end of it all, next to where we parked, there was a river that was used to fill the bottles.
*There are not many water points, so pay attention to the heat.
*In the case of not going up to the top, it does not matter, the views are impressive along the whole way.
*The caimno can be done upside down and end up in the lake to cool off. In fact, many people go directly up to the peak and down to the lake by the same route, which is also beautiful and not so demanding to spend the day.
