Itinerary description
DOGS ON LEASH!
Start/End: Blackwood Picnic Area
The recorded trail is a bit messy at the end of Tunnel Point track. You need to cross the river and head up the hill on Gribbles Track. I have gone off track to ford the river at the shallowest part I could find today (about ankle deep - see picture). Please be careful at this section crossing the river and if you follow my trail - the descent to the river is short and steep but doable.

Hi Leah I will be doing this hike this weekend, looks like a good one, so you recommend going clockwise or the other way? Or doesn't matter?
Hi Deb, if you're following my trail specifically then I would go clockwise. There was a bit of off trail from the actual trail to cross the river and going anticlockwise might be hard to find your footing when going back up to the trail from the river - it was a slippery going down to the river but doable. Hope that makes sense!
