Follows spur track off the river, then left down a road to the weir.
Then Blackwood trail up to the access track. Which you turn left onto link track 1 and back to the river
The track had some sneaky turn offs that are easily missed, especially the first incline as the recorded trail over shoots the turn off as well then loops back. The water levels were high so wet toes all round. The inclines are gruelling and the downhill is tough on the knees, but a great hike was enjoyed by our group of 9 🤟🏻⛰🐐

River was dry when I did it. No wet feet. Different season. Yep, overshot the spur cos a group of people were standing over the sign so couldn’t see it. The signs are stumps, not the square kind. Tracking didn’t pick it up either cos it was elevation difference. I still enjoyed it. Worst part was the last decent down the link track, so steep and slow going.
