Depending on season one can spot a variety of birds like: Tickell's Blue and Asian Paradise Flycatcher, Grey Jungle Fowl, Black-hooded, Black-naped and Golden Oriole, Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher, Ashy, Black, Racket-tailed Drongo and much more.

Conservation Education Center, BNHS
In 1993 BNHS intiated a three year Conservation Education Project (CEP) in Mumbai, Tamil Nadu and Bharatpur. The project was funded by Department of International Development, U.K. (formerly known as ODA) in technical collaboration with Royal Society Protection of Birds (RSPB), U.K. The aim of the project was to study the biotic pressure exerted by the people living in and around three protected areas namely; Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary and Keoladeo National Park. The outcome of the study was to provide with remedies for reducing the biotic pressures involving local stakeholders. The final product of the project was to establish a Conservation Education Centre (CEC) in Mumbai for continuing education in environment education. The CEC came into existence in 1997 on the BNHS Nature Reserve (BNR) which was leased to BNHS by Government of Maharashtra. Since its inception in 1997, the Centre has designed and implemented 24 educational projects, 48 programmes on 36 topics belonging to 14 categories. It has also developed 161 educational materials which includes 3 teacher’s manuals, 2 student manuals, 5 field guides, 5 educational trunks, 42 exhibits, 10 posters, 20 programme booklets, 1 sticker sheet, 2 pins, 28 audio-visuals, 15 dioramas, 45 signage and 5 multimedia. It also has 573 books on education and natural history at its library.
