Itinerary description

This is a one way trail and best if you've got someone to drop you off at Ledenice, or if you must leave the car, have another one to drive back from Perast and pick it up.

Starting point: Ledenice, by the monument
Can be reached by car from the road leading towards Niksic. Beware that once off the main road, the road is in disastrous condition but with cautious driving, all will be fine. The other option is to drive a bit farther and turn right before the tunnel and drive down to the monument.

The trail starts on the gravel road going east to village Ubalac, then the zig-zag takes you up to fort Sanik from where you can perfectly see fort Sv.Andrija, Lovcen, Orjen, Vrmac etc. The same zig-zag takes you back and the trail to Sv.Andrija would be going left. An easy walk. Marked pretty well until the fort (thanks to the latest project to revive the Austro-Hungarian forts in Boka bay, plus boards on the way provide interesting info). The views from there open all the way to Kotor and west to Herceg Novi bay. The way going west and straight from the fort's gate takes you down the winding trail to Perast with beautiful views in front of you. This part hasn't got fresh markings and is slightly overgrown, plus the signpost by the fort was on the ground (dec 2021), but easy to follow. Just caution on the parts where the shortcuts are made, and watch out for snakes.
