If you're looking for walks, you're in Japan.
The “excessive” courtesy, such a different and remarkable cuisine, the ryokans, the onsens, the lines.
Japan, the cleanest and most structured country in the world with numerous, super clean and technologically brilliant toilets. You will never have had such clean private parts.
You have to queue at a bus stop to experience Japanese rigor. Public transportation is excellent.
Urban equipment for the blind is extremely sophisticated.
They don't seem to care about water, energy, global warming and consume a lot of plastic in all forms. We wonder if in Europe, we live on the same planet as them.
There are obviously the public baths and onsens that you will miss after the trip.
If you can, you should pay for some quality hotels, ryokans and onsens to discover this amazing Japan.
We traveled with “Au fil du Japon”, a remarkable agency.

You can't go to Japan without seeing LE FUJI. And the best place to see it is probably here. So you have to come to this lakeside parking lot. This is a must for a trip to Japan.
There is a GPS error; the part on the road does not count
We go from the parking lot to the parking lot. The walk is 8 km long.
We wanted to walk around and see HIM from different angles. This is not the case here, you cannot see Fuji except at the edge of the lake. This walk is not worth it except to stretch your legs. We first retraced our steps because we were in a thick forest with no view. If you have time, there is probably a way to climb to the pass. We then fell back into another forest with no views. Here too there is a way to go higher.
However, from the lake, Fuji is splendid. There is ample parking but a lot of people. You can take a short walk along the lake. The complete tour should not be pleasant because there are many passages on the road with traffic.
Matsumoto is not far away. The castle is very beautiful from the outside, but don't be stupid enough to visit the interior. It's a huge traffic jam with nothing to see.

on peut juste deviner le Fuji au travers des arbres.
