Itinerary description
This is a very nice climb to the highest point of the cynclinal massif de Foret de Saou, which is also the highest top of Les Trois Becs.
The climb will take you about 1.5 hours along a more than wonderful track giving you marvellous views.
Not really on the day we did this, though, because of the low hanginging clouds and disappearing mist on our way to the top.
The track has recently been renovated almost all the way to the top and made very safe because of this.
As you start this hike at 1020m you will have to climb 570 altitude metres but because of the renovated track you can easily do this in 1.5 hours.
The views at the top are breathtaking, you will have an all around view far into the regions with the Vercors to the north, the Diois to the west, the Baronnais and Mont Ventoux to the south, and the Ardeche nand Cevennes to the west, including the whole of the inside of the Foret de Saou.
Because the very stable track you can easily do the descent in about an hour.
From the top of Le Veyou is there is a track down and up to the other two of Le Trois Becs, Le Signal (1555m.) and Roche Courbe (1549m.) and after doing these you can follow another track back to descent from Le Veyou which you will then join at 1480m.
