Itinerary description
We began our hike from Anse Caffard. Rock scramble to top took about 1 hr. Beautiful views at the top. We continued down other side which was also a rock scramble with some large boulders at one point. This took us to views of the rolling hills on one side and Petite Anse on the other. We reached the road (end of the trail) in 1 hr.
We then went in search of "the old road" for our way back. We went looking for this route as there was a previous Wikiloc report of someone doing this. We went through a gate near where our path met the road. This was a beautiful walk through the fields/hills. We continued in search of the continuation of "the old road". This was difficult to find. That is why you see our trail making loops. We did find another gate to go through. Beyond this, the "road" was overgrown, but we continued on through lots of prickly shrubbery and old sugarcane. This got us to a more open "road" which we followed directly to the D37 at Anse Cafford where we had parked the car near the trail sign.
Overall it was a really great hike!!! And, it can be done as a loop if you don't mind forging a bit of a trail!!!
