Itinerary description
DescriptionLe Morne Brabant is a peninsula at the extreme southwestern tip of the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius on the western side of the island. It is highlighted by an eponymous basaltic monolith with a summit 556 metres above sea level. The summit covers an area of over 12 hectares.

I followed this trail in May 2022. It is very easy to follow and there are many hikers there. Probably the most popular trail in Mauritius. At some moment you will see a warning sign saying that the trail is becoming more difficult and should not be attempted by inexperienced climbers. If you continue make sure that you wear proper hiking shoes as the trail becomes much steeper. Thank you Veronika!
