Itinerary description
The track is circular.
The start is at the "Povlenski kućerak" mountain house, you go uphill on the southern slope of Veliki Povlen.
The path in this part is steep, narrow, wooded, so you need to go in a column one by one for about 20 minutes to the top of Veliki Povlen (1271m).
From the top there is a nice view of the Valjevo Mountains, as well as Tara, Zlatibor and the mountains across the Drina in the Republic of Srpska. From there, the path leads along a rocky ridge through a coniferous and beech forest past the repeater to a spacious meadow.
Across the meadow, the path leads to Srednji Povlen (1301m). From this peak, you descend to the rocks of eruptive origin Ploče, where there is also a viewpoint. After the trail, we return and descend to the source of the Cetinje River. In the spring, this part is known for its large areas of sremush. From the source, the path leads across a meadow (it looks like a giant amphitheater) called Gužvara and next to the weekend houses it leads to Kneževo polje.
Next to the church of St. Stephen the Archdeacon across the meadow, the path climbs on the north side to Mali Povlen (1347m). The path is narrow, steep and wooded. From the highest peak of Povlen - Mali Povlen, when visibility is good, you can see Maglić and Durmitor.
From the top, you descend the same way, then from Kneževo polje, you go west along the ravine next to the huts to the wagon road. From there, the trail continues and ends at the "Povlenski kućerak" mountain hut.
