Itinerary description

A very new trail
You are walking on the ocean door of the part of Cyprus that developed from the sea floor some 1 million years ago
Oysters and clam shells everywhere!!
And a beautiful valley
And flora labeled for those who want to learn about nature
And a summit that gives you a great view over the city of Nicosia
With all its pollution unfortunately unfortunately
A very nice easy walk with one summit
Highly recommended

This is a fun trail if you want to walk close to Nicosia. It's well signed and maintained. There's even information about the vegetation along the way and lots of shells and fossils. Half-way the path splits and you can go up the steep Apalos Hill for a great view or back round the Kakkarista canyon to the carpark.

To get to the carpark where the route begins, go to the Cyprus Pedagological Institute off the A1, and follow the white signes to the Kakkarista Canyon.

My dog was fine here off lead.
