Itinerary description
Tzermiadon is 50km from Aghios Nikolaos and is the capital of Lasithi region and biggest village at plateau. We park at the main road ,a bit after the center and, up from small streets to last one for passage to Timios stauros. There is and in 30'min we arrive at church. (Is the option from the concrete road, at the end of tzermiadon to Nisimos).Another 30' to starting point of E4 path to Karfi with the small (and only in crete) chappel of Ariadne!
Nisimos is full of goats with shepherds to scream from all sides of plateau, or by horns of cars to try collecting the herds.
40' min ascent to karfi by E4 path with amazing view to dam of aposelemis, heraklion dia island e.t.c.
. Then three options, down under karfi by clear path and then to dirt road, path to the other postminoan settlement of Papoura, or, to water fountain of vitsilonero, or, all together! We just past all of them.
To seli ampelou, the area with the windmills, dirt road going until a nice and peachful field with sheepfold and a bit further, then, by a very nice path , which not used often to the windmills. Because of fences, which is to many at the area, we change plans and we do not continue at the forest above Lagou to find path. So, just small descent from the corner of touristic taverna to asphalt and then by the old road to pinakiano and then to lagou.
From Lagou inside to flatland with the famous vegetables and with the many walnuts.Diagonal after 30' min we arrive to Tzermiadon with some kilos of forgotten small apples on trees!
Epilogue: Trail basicly it s easy. The most of them is by road or signed paths. They need attention in some pieces of the path after sheepfold ,at the end of dirt road to 'seli ampelou'.Is not used so is not so obvious. Also the ascent from tzermiadon to timios stauros, but, just walk up.Public water fount at pinakiano and lagou village. On the road.As you go through the flatland if you want to eat apple or walnut do it, is for any one!

There is No Path most of the time, just walking through stones and wood with no signs or way at all. I do not recommend to do this route at this area. Anyway, thanks to Yorgos for the effort, likely time erased the path.
