This is a nice walk, apart from ferocious the march flies that were present at the end of January 2018. I'm not sure what the worst time of year for these is, so a having a hat with a net is recommended, even if it looks a bit silly.
There has been vigorous regrowth since the 2009 fires, but it will still be many years before it reaches the height of the silvery trunks of the trees that didn't survive.
