Itinerary description
Starting on the Lake Clementine Trail to Lake Clementine Rd to Shortcut Trail to Stonewall Trail to Confluence Trail.
This loop hike has some seriously rocky trails in some areas. Also, seasonal creeks and waterfalls can create some sketchy areas especially on the Stonewall & Confluence Trails. However, this ol’ gal did fine with good ankle-high hiking boots and my reliable trekking poles.
For an added bonus mile and more hill climbing, at mile 2 take the road down to the dam for a lovely viewing and snack break.

Shortcut Trail down to Stonewall Trail
Shortcut Trail is just a skip away before crossing Foresthill Rd. BE VERY CAREFUL CROSSING THE ROAD. Vehicles are coming at high speeds around blind corners.

Nearing Stonewall
The Stonewall is on the river side of the hill holding back the mountain on a very steep cliff. You’ll see huge boulders marking the edge. If you creep up to the wall and look over, it is a straight-down drop off!
