Itinerary description
Lake Bovilla (Bovilla reservoir) is one of the most amazing hidden gems of Albania. This reservoir provides most of the drinking water for the capital of Albania, Tirana. Located around 15 km from the capital of Albania, Tirana makes the place very reachable. You can go there for a picnic or if you want some more adventures you can hike to the Gamti mountain where the view of Bovilla Lake is amazing.

Beautiful viewpoint, worth the hike.
Beginning is a bit hard because there is not a lot of shade during summer time.
The end part requires some climbing but doesn't feature a lot of difficulties.

Meanwhile there are stairs, which were builded by a restaurant. Entrance fee of 100 Lek or 1€. On the top you can now find a viewing platform.
Also you can park at the restaurant, not far away from the „trail“. Very easy to do.

One of the best treks i had in albania. To reach there by car right now the roads are bit rough through a section but give it some time i believe the infrastructure of the roads are gonna become very good. If visiting albania do not miss this trek.
