Lakes Sylbicës, Dashit and Qeneve. Dinaric Alps. Albania
Liqeni i Sylbicës is a lake and is located in Kukës, Albania. The estimated elevation of the terrain above sea level is 2081 meters.
The route starts at the Guesthouse Halil Qerimi family home where we were welcomed with much kindness and hospitality. Excellent quality food and accommodation.
We left by track on ascent bordering the Lumi River Tropojes. In the area where the track turns right and crosses the stream we veer off to the right without a trail towards the Liqeni i Sylbicës.
We skirt the lake on the right and climb the slope towards Doberdol Pass from where you have magnificent views of the Doberdol valley. We continued along trail which goes following the ridge. From it we have view of the Liqeni Dashit and other small lakes in its vicinity.
We turned left and started the descent towards the Liqene Qeneve, the third important lake of the route. With no defined trail we ended up rounding the Liqene Silbices to link up with the crossing point of the climb.
We only have to descend by route approximate to that of ascent to reach our starting point of the route.
