Itinerary description
Logoa do Foco - this hike is the best, most varied and most interesting one we did on Sao Miguel. Please note that the trail is one way, so you have to double the distance to get back. The first part is the hardest, as you just climb and climb. Then you arrive at a water house and from there you follow a levada (irrigation channel) for a few and lovely flat km. Then you arrive at an open area with lots of sea gulls and finally you reach the lake.
