Itinerary description
Nice circular trail in Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise. The trail climbs up in a dense & silent forest to a clearing - a plane surounded by moutains. In the winter it is covered with water (hence - lake) but gradually drying through summer and autumn. In my visit in early september it was more like a bog, with cows and moles resting around it - great scene. On the way down you can catch a few glimpses of lake Montagna Spaccata.
