This famous lake of glacial origin is located at the southern tip of Jasper National Park at 1,670 meters altitude, between the Canadian Rockies, within the province of Alberta. Its 22.5 kilometers long and 97 meters deep make it the largest natural lake in the Rocky Mountains, and is famous among many other things for its turquoise blue color, especially in the south.
