Itinerary description
Starting at the bus stop at Malcesine, walk to the funicular and queue to buy a ticket (30 minutes in this case) and then queue again to get onto the funicular (1 hour and 30 minutes in this case). In theory, it is possible to pre-purchase tockets and pick them up at the info point to avoid the first queue, but the info point was unmanned for the 30 minutes that we queued to purchase the tickets (probably because it was lunch time).
Walk steeply down, mainly via the main trail although there are a couple of less-steep detours to make it easier on the leg muscles. The walk ends at the intermediate cable-car station, and the cable car is taken the rest of the way. It would be possible to walk the rest of the way if your legs are up to it and you have sufficient time.
