Itinerary description

This old bench trail starts from the turn-around area at the top of Lady Chancellor Road. It is a gently climbing trail that rises steadily to the ridge overlooking Santa Cruz / Saddle Road. The path was extensively cleared for Fusion in 2015 and is currently in good condition. There are a couple of places that make this trail moderate in difficulty. Firstly there is a broken bridge with rotting planks, cross if you have good balance and stay above the metal beams, otherwise use the ropes to descend and ascend the gulley. Secondly, towards the end of the trial there are some landslides which have reduced the width of the path and ropes to assist. Best done in dry season.
