Waypoints
Photo
Start from old garage and parking on tight bend. Take signed trail to left of old garage which runs alongside rapids of river
Photo
Yellow way markers. Immediately cross bridge and follow trail into dense forest
Photo
After a rude wake up call of steep fifteen min climb arrive on big sheep pasture where close to sheep pen u hit main trail and sign boards. Turn right following line of power lines. There are now very frequent red and white gr 10 signs (actually a variation route). For a while the going is flat
Photo
After a 20min amble through a delightful pasture cross over river again via small concrete bridge and say goodbye to the pleasent flat walking.
Photo
Head toward waterfall at head of valley following power lines just before fsllsbend right west and start climbing
Photo
After bracing 15min climb reach a false pass (1700m) with great view back down into pastures. Carry on up to another pass
Photo
A good hr quarter from start and at altitude of 2020m the small discreet headwall of hydroelectric damn that holds on first of the lakes become visible. Continue toward it over increasingly rocky pasture. There's a big scree slope to your right which the path bends slightly toward
Photo
At 2100m and hr half from start reach first lake. Beyond u can see damn wall of lake two. Follow trail to right side of lake
Photo
At head of first lake cross metal bridge go under power lines and up towards second damn wall
Photo
Trail sweeps away from damn wall (some maps show trail running right below damn wall) and past a small pool before bending back toward lake
Photo
Slightly confusing trail seems an old lake side trail past old hits and the newer re reputed gr 10 which loops about more. I got a bit lost...
Photo
Found gr 10 at far end of lake and it follows stream on true right bank toward another lake. It's much wilder now signs of man are gone
Photo
Moment later rock hop over wider stream where it emerges from another small lake
Photo
From small nick in rockface that u pass through their is a real change to a wilder upland area of scattered trees, lakes, marshes and lots of rocks chucked about like giants marbles. Human influence has fast faded
