Itinerary description
A must do! Fantastic scenery with ever changing landscape and vegetation.
Many seem to stop at Los Canarios, but the last bit to Fuencaliente is worth adding, with more seaviewds, again different vegetation and passing by Volcano de Teneguia at the end - and seeing the lighthouse coming closer is a great feeling.
Getting lost on the way is almost impossible, as markings are clear and there are regular signposts. The only part where we were slightly confused was in the village of Los Canarios where there were no markings for a while. In this case just head downhill towards Volcano Antonio, where the markers start again.
Having arrived at Fuencaliente we had dinner at the truly recommendable restaurant El Jardin de la Sal before calling a taxi (recommended driver Juan Carlos from Los Canarios) who took us back to our car at El Pilar in one hour for 50€ (the shorter route from Los Canarios would be 37,50 €).
