Tour du Mont-Gelé

Nouvelle rando dans le secteur de Verbier. Après le tour du mythique Mont-Fort, voici le tour du redouté et légendaire Mont-Gelé ! Pas aussi épique que celui du Mont-Fort, mais il vaut le détour, notamment pour la montée impressionnante du Col de Chassour. Départ depuis l'arrivée du télésiège de Fontanets, au sommet de la Chaux. La descente vers la Chaux et la montée sur le Col des Gentiannes, ne présentent aucunes difficultés particulières. Aux Gentiannes, les paysages sont grandioses. Si vous avez l'occasion, prenez le téléphérique du Mont-Fort, de là-haut, vous pourrez monter sur une passerelle, avec une vue hallucinante à 360 degrés, sur les plus hauts sommets valaisans, français et italiens, notamment le mythique Cervin ! La descente vers Tortin est assez technique, sans être trop dangereuse. Le meilleur pour la fin, la montée très abrupte, sur névés, cailloux, rochers vers le Col de Chassoure. If you have the opportunity, take the cable car of Mont-Fort, from there, you can climb on a footbridge, with a hallucinating 360-degree view, on the highest peaks of Valais, France and Italy, including the mythical Matterhorn! The descent to Tortin is quite technical, without being too dangerous. The best for the end, the very steep climb, on snowfields, pebbles, rocks towards the Col de Chassoure.
