Itinerary description
Atitlán lake is a lake in a massive crater of a vulcano, in Southwest Guatemala. The lake is surrounded by other volcanoes and it's a very touristy destination.
In this track we started in our hostel (Hospedaje Lolita) and turned right, and then left on the second street until we arrived to the main street. We continued straight through the road and passed San Juan, and at the end of the village we turned to the left, going (and paying) to La Naríz del Indio. At a point, we turned to the left to climb Pico del Loro, but we came back to the route (pic.1) and continued up to the top. We came back on out foot.
The track is steep and unpaved since we left the village (San Juan).
